D Clef Records
Michael Dease founded D Clef Records in 2008 to spotlight the next generation of young jazz talent emerging in New York City. Thomas Barber's Snow Road was released to critical acclaim, and featured Linda Oh, Nasheet Waits and the legendary Claudio Roditi. Dease has since produced 9 other record dates for D Clef, as well producing for Half Note Records and Jazz Legacy Productions.
Michael often works as a freelance producer, assisting in all stages of the recording process- including song and personnel selection, song arrangements, studio referrals, digital editing, mixing, mastering, graphic design and distribution. Currently, he enjoys frequent collaborations with leading musical professionals, including George Cables, Rodney Whitaker, and Ulysses Owens Jr.
